WebGecko Announces Support for the
Microsoft .NET Framework
Current Products
APGen 2.1 has been verified to work with the .NET Framework and
Visual Studio.NET. Compatibility with .NET includes these highlights:
- APG scripts can be executed within .NET applications using COM interop. This enables static
page generation and two-phase content generation within ASP.NET and other .NET applications.
- APG scripts can be used to pre-render portions of ASP.NET pages, including code-behind pages.
This enables pre-rendering of dynamic ASP.NET pages, which makes the pages faster and much more efficient.
In particular, the code-behind model allows separation of APGen code from .NET code, which makes
pages easier to code and maintain.
- APG scripts can be edited and debugged in Visual Studio.NET. Current versions of APGen
seamlessly integrate with future versions of Visual Studio.
